Join Coastal Kayak Charters for a small group guided kayak tour of the Shell Key Preserve. We are St Pete's top rated kayak tour company and focus exclusively on small groups and private tours. Our trips offer more personalized service and better wildlife viewing opportunities while out on the water. We will explore hidden mangrove tunnels (tides permitting), shallow seagrass meadows, and stop on Shell Island for time to swim, look for shells, or just relax and enjoy the beach. Our tours are designed for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. We use stable user friendly kayaks that provide a great paddling experience. We primarily use double kayaks unless you have an odd number in your group. If you prefer single kayaks they are available through our website. Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our Shell Key kayak tour with Daniel on Monday, July 25. The mangroves were beautiful and we saw varied sealife including a manatee, dolphins, and interesting types of crabs and jellyfish. Daniel was friendly and informative. We thoroughly recommend the tour.

This was the highlight of our trip to the Tampa area. We nearly never kayak and could easily navigate this trip (including the challenge of the low tide). It was a lot of fun and our guide, Daniel, was super passionate about what he was doing. We would absolutely take this trip again, especially since it was with a small group. We saw lots of fun wildlife, including dolphins near our kayak. Easily worth your time.

I’m Cindy Dutton, been waiting to do a tour. One of the best experiences I have had. Daniel was great. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. At the beach he found starfish and let us hold it. He also found grabs and sand dollars which was very exciting. We saw lots of dolphins. I would recommend anyone this tour. And having Daniel as our guide was fantastic!!! Thank you for a wonderful and exciting time. I will do it again next time I come to Florida next year.
