Me and my partner had heard of this place before we got out to New York, and saw it by chance walking past. We were unsure of whether to go, based on some of the recent mixed reviews.
We decided to go and did the 007 experience too. We did not regret it.
I thought the whole experience was unique. There’s lots of interacting. There are 8 machines that you answer questions to help work out your spy role (your wristband stores all the information). There’s also 4 or 5 special activities about lying/surveillance/lasers etc which were fun. All worked. On the surveillance one, you have to speak into a microphone and a couple of times it didn’t recognise that we said anything, but that maybe was an accent thing? Not a major issue.
There were plenty of facts about real life spies and interesting historical moments. But you could skip these bits if you weren’t interested, depends on your interest levels.
The 007 was good, as we saw props/cars from the film and showed us interesting facts about how certain stunts were done.
All the staff in the shop were helpful and tried to help us find what we needed.
I certainly didn’t come across any major issues that some reviews have come across.
Would recommend. I imagine it’s good for kids as it’s informative but fun activities too.
