Our semi-private lessons are limited to 3 students to every instructor. We teach at Thalia St, Laguna's best location for beginner waves. Our 90 minute lessons allow you ample time to learn paddle out, wave judgment, etiquette, and pop-up techniques. Call us if you prefer a private lesson.

Had the most amazing time! Doug and his team at Lavida Laguna gave this beginner from Dallas an excellent time! And Fady was the perfect instructor, put me right at ease, and helped me catch several great waves. Definitely would take more lessons from him if I lived in Laguna Beach. I found this place based on the reviews about the friendly staff and the great lessons, and they were spot on! Won’t forget it and highly recommend!

Had a great time surfing with Bryson & Harden (?). Didn't hurt that they are both super hunky cool surfer dudes. Small quibble -- and it really is minor -- is that while at sea they mentioned another family that "tips really well" which seemed a rather transparent way to remind us to tip them! Also, the lesson seemed to end a tad early (the walk to and from the shop, carrying the surf boards, is included in the two hours). So it's not a cheap experience, but these guys are good!!! (and deserve a tip)

Instructor was awesome. I was able to stand (just for a moment but still!) by the end of the lesson!! It was a great 1st time experience surfing, made me want to keep going!! Owner was great! We even saw a whale and dolphins!!
