At first, my sister and I originally wanted to go to Tijuana alone for the day as we were staying in San Diego and wanted to break it up a bit. We were advised by many SD locals to either not go at all, or alternatively go with a tour guide. Which is what we did and we are SO glad we did. Tania was such a lovely tour guide who knew everything, where to go, what to see, all the facts about Mexico. From museums, to walking around markets, to tequila tasting, to eating quesadillas - what a great experience in Mexico, so worth it. The 4.5 hours was all you needed. We also felt super safe and not only Tijuana is so much cheaper than California, it was also much cheaper than when I went Cancun back in 2022 and Ensenada last year. I would highly recommend it to encounter a beautiful culture (as clearly in America there isn’t one). Another thing to note is that you have 2 options to get back to the USA border, either wait 3-5 hours in the queue at border control or take a bus which costs $10 per person to get through. They said it could take about an hour in the bus, but surprisingly since it was a Saturday evening it only took us 10 mins, so I would certainly recommend this. Thank you Tania for a great day!
