In 2002, the final dam on the Baraboo River was removed, making it the longest free-flowing river in the nation to be restored to its pre-settlement condition. Baraboo River Canoe & Kayak Rentals offers scenic Wisconsin kayak and canoe trips along the Baraboo River Corridor, at the base of the Baraboo Bluff Range. Enjoy a self guided leisurely float through the beautiful countryside, or experience an exciting but enjoyable canoe trip through the rapids that flow right through the city of Baraboo!

We dpicked trip 2 it was awesome. This is our 3rd year going down this trip. Each year we bring a new set of friends.

Super pleasant canoe/kayak trip, on the opening day of the 2021 season. The management easily handled all our last minute changes (length of trip, number of boats, time of departure) with efficiency and friendliness. Took care of our recycling too! The river itself was pretty low, and our section not challenging but fun and nice to get out on the water. Lots of vultures, a few deer, an otter, and schools of fish in the gentle rapids section. The dispatch/pickup team was helpful and prompt. Next time (and there will be a next time, for sure) we take the longer trip !
