I purchased the 4-day pass beforehand, but day-of purchases are available. I rode all 4 lines. The Pink, which can be purchased separately for $6, basically is hotel stops and popular for riding to the super large Ala Moana shopping center. There is no informative, historic narration on the Pink line. The Blue line leaves Waikiki and travels up the east coastline and offers many scenic vistas. The Red and Green lines stay in the Waikiki/Honolulu area. The highlight of the Green line is the Diamondhead crater and the Red line is for the Punch bowl crater cemetery and a number of historic palaces. Chico provided wonderful narration on the Blue line one day and Red line the next. Taner was the tour driver for the Green line and was rather humorous during the torrential rain storm on Thurs. He was very accommodating when dropping us off when the curbs were overflowing with water. Be cautious when wearing a hat on the open air trolley because mine blew off and out of one of the rides and was gone forever.
