Our guide, Phil, was Great! He is very knowledgeable of the park and surrounding area. He has a great personality and was very courteous and let us take our time to enjoy the tour.

Laurie was a great guide. Very entertaining. We switched up items on our agenda at our request and she was happy to oblige. We all had a wonderful day.

PRICEY TOUR @$400+/person. Driver/guide Larry was an excellent fit for us: a retiree driving a retired couple. He was very attentive to helping us into and out of the Yukon vehicle with the step-stool. Larry was very knowledgeable about all points of interest: history, wild life, flora, fauna, geology. We especially enjoyed the visit to and across the Hungry Horse hydroelectric dam and to the MacDonald Resort. Polebridge’s existence completely “off the electric grid” was fascinating. Solar panels and LP gas generators power the entire settlement. I would have liked to see the battery storage needed to store the power generated. We gave Larry a decent tip for all he did for us. He even picked us up at our Amtrak Whitefish station at 7:30 a.m. and dropped us and our luggage off at our WONDERFUL Good Medicine Lodge in Whitefish (see our TripAdvisor comments titled “Wish We could give 10*” in Whitefish Accommodations). A truly GREAT 6+ hours with Larry. Again: A PRICEY TOUR @ $400+/person.
