What To Expect

Hungry Horse Reservoir

Walk across Hungry Horse Dam and enjoy sights of the gorgeous Hungry Horse Reservoir. Your guide will provide in-depth knowledge of the dam, it's completion, and the town of Hungry Horse.

West Glacier

Stop at the iconic Glacier National Park sign for a photo op prior to entering the park.

Lake McDonald

Drive up along the shores of Lake McDonald and stop at the Lake McDonald Lodge. Your guide is well versed in park history and tales of the bears in Glacier National Park. Take photos out on the dock of Lake McDonald and enjoy the scenery.

Apgar Visitor Center

Enjoy the historic area of Apgar Village. View the crystal clear waters of Lake McDonald, stroll around the area and learn about the history of the park. Admission is included upon purchase of your National Park Pass at the entry.

The information shared by the very knowledgeable guide. His name is Hunter. He grew up in the area and could share details that were very helpful. Suggested other things we should see and places to eat and shop. Enjoyable tour.

This was our favorite tour of the three we took (just by a small margin). Goat lick, Lake McDonald, and Pole bridge were just outstanding. Our tour guide (Brandon) was simply outstanding. He was congenial, knowledgeable, and a true outdoorsman. We really enjoyed the entire day. We highly recommend Whitefish Outfitters. Excellent company that treats their guests with courtesy and respect. As first time visitors to Montana, we really appreciated them brining us up to speed and then touring us about like seasoned veterans. It was an outstanding day!!!!

Our trip with Whitefish Outfitters to West Glacier and Polebridge was fantastic! Our tour guide, Joel, was excellent….very personable and informative. We learned so much about the area from him and he gave us great tips and advice for the rest of our stay. We enjoyed all the planned stops on the itinerary and appreciated the many beautiful sites that we never would have seen on our own. Highly recommend a tour with Whitefish Outfitters! You will not be disappointed!
