Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Guests will then meet their personal guide and recieve the necessary equipment Including: life jacket, helmet and paddle.
After your guide double-checks to make sure all equipment is fitted properly, guests then hop on our bus for a short 10-minute ride to the launching point for your trip.

For us dutch people is was a very thrilling experience. With our sympatic guide Kody we managed to stay in the boat and learned the important rules of rafting. We loved it!

Good safety information at beginning. The company makes sure to keep you safe while having a good time! Kody was a fun guide and made sure everyone was persona! He made sure those who didn’t know how to swim felt safe and aware throughout! It was a great team building with even complete strangers as depending on your party size of who is in your raft. Waters were not rough this day. It all depends on the water levels though and would definitely use this company again!! Reasonably priced! Take your phone on adventure though bc their picture package is too expensive I felt.

Adrian, thank you for taking the time to let us know about your trip with Big Creek Expeditions and your guide, Kody. We are incredibly lucky to have him on our team. We agree, rafting is an excellent group and team building activity and is fun for people of all ages. We hate that the pictures were outside of your budget and understand completely! We always advise people, however, to leave all valuables in their vehicles because they cannot be replaced if lost on the river, especially with phones costing hundreds of dollars. We hope you were able to safely obtain photographs of your trip, though, and if you decide that you'd like to purchase your photos at a later date, we keep them on file for multiple years! Just give us a call and we would be happy to mail them to you on a USB drive. 877.642.7238. We hope you'll come back and see us again for a trip down the river the next time you are in the Smoky Mountains!

This was our first white water rafting experience and I have to say it was excellent! Amanda was fun and very enjoyable! She did a great job instructing us on what to do and answered all of our questions. Definitely stopping here again and if possible asking for Amanda!
