We were initially looking into another company but then found the flyer of Boogy Creek in the lobby of our accommodation. It turned out they also had a restaurant attached that serves gator bites. So we went there and were not disappointed. Be aware that you have to book the one hour tours ahead, otherwise it will only be the half an hour one. But we were offered a private tour for thr four of us. We paid $63 instead of $58 and had the boat for us. That was the right decision to make. The $15 more a person is worth every penny. Tanner our captain was very knowledgable and answered every question patiently. We saw lots of wild life, gators, birds, snails ect., ect.. The hour flew by and we had a blast. After that we tried the gator bites and talked to John who "supervises" the little gators. When going with kids, there is lots of other stuff to do and a big day park is attached as well. It is a good 30 minute ride from Orlando, your own vehicle is recommended. We would go there again and book the private tour as well. Big Thanks to the Boogy Creek Team for our first airboat adventure.

We booked the airboat ride online during our recent holiday and it was a great experience. We didn’t see any alligators (apparently evenings are best for this) but that didn’t detract from the experience at all. The guy who took us out (captain?) was very friendly and knowledgeable and everyone in our party really enjoyed the ride. The one thing that needs improvement is the attitude of the lady at check in (Ginny, if I remember correctly). I had our voucher saved on my phone but she said, not particularly pleasantly, that it was supposed to be a printed copy. I explained that we were staying in a villa with no access to a printer and that I hadn’t seen anything on the website to say a paper copy was required. (If I had seen it I would have phoned in advance to explain I had no way of printing it.) Her response was simply to say, again not very pleasantly, that it was supposed to be a printed copy. She told me to send it to her by email so she could print it off, and obviously I emailed her the voucher. No, this wasn’t right: she needed the original email. I’m not sure if she thought I was psychic but why did she not specify that? I’m sure if this happens all the time it must be frustrating for her to have to deal with but surely it’s not necessary to be unpleasant with customers. The others in my party, who were waiting within earshot all commented to me that she had been rude. We aren’t ridiculous enough to have let it spoil the overall experience but when everything else about it was so positive it’s a shame this lady’s customer service skills weren’t better.

We are so glad that overall the experience was a positive one for you and your family. We are very sorry to hear about the check in. We know it is difficult for the front desk to handle all the different vouchers and the rules the companies put on them. They have to know over 100 different procedures and what is required by each. We are sorry that you felt that she let this get to an unpleasant encounter. We will discuss this with her. We hope that you will give our park another try and that everything will be enjoyable.

There is so much more to Orlando than park after park after park. Boggy Creek is 25 minutes drive from Orlando and is worth the visit. Airboat rides on the glades are exhilarating, speeding across the water. You see wild life and hopefully alligators and stop every so often so your guide can point out interesting things and answer questions.They also have a restaurant here, a talk by a native American, games to play etc and above all, beautiful scenery. This makes a great few hours away from the hustle and bustle of Orlando and is a great chance to see another side of Florida.
