Do not waste your time and money on this poorly managed “tour” company. We waited more than 30 minutes at each stop and at the Statue of Liberty stop close to an hour. The stops were not even close to any of the attractions. We had to beg the driver to let us on after waiting for close to one hour ( he had to leave behind several frustrated people). We started at stop number 4 on the red tour, hopped off only twice- 9/11 memorial and Statue of Liberty and barely made it back to the last stop at 6pm. We were unable to do the blue tour as planned. The ground staff was mostly absent throughout the tour. Audio narration very basic. Have done a hop on hop off tour in more than 10 countries around the world. New York city tour is the most disappointing. Feeling sorry for recommending and dragging 3 other friends to waste their time money and energy today ( May 21, 2024). The mobile app reflected inaccurate wait time and kept fluctuating between 14to 17 minutes wait, then 6-8 minutes, then 8-10 minutes and then back to 13-14 minutes etc.etc DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Geeta B, thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback about your experience with us. We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your time touring with us in New York. Although we have departures for the Downtown tour every 15-20 minutes from Stop #1, arrival times may vary due to traffic along the route. Our app does have a live tracker which can give better estimates on arrival times, but still traffic can cause these times to fluctuate. If you are still in New York City and have the Uptown tour included in your package, please reach out to us at [email protected] with your booking reference. We would be happy to extend your ticket validity to allow you to complete the tour.

The bus was too crowded with no air conditioner on lower level. Tour was a recording and not even informative. Drivers and assistants on roadside were hard to understand. Although it is hop on/off, there is poor seating, poor visibility, poor communication.

Hi there, Amanda_L! We're truly sorry to hear about your experience. We're working on increasing our fleet to help reduce wait times and make sure everyone has a seat on the bus. While we've improved our air conditioning, the open top does allow some warm air to come in. On a positive note, our audio experience is now available in six languages, making it more enjoyable for those who don't speak English as their first language. We can't wait to have you back for some wonderful experiences!

We have been on other hip on/hop off buses and it was a great way to learn about and see the city in a short time. The recorded commentary was a joke and was mostly music, some of the outlets were broken so you couldn’t hear. Our first bus had a tire blowout so we had to wait for a second bus (totally understandable). We were then told to get off of that bus and get on to a different bus. I had lost my receipt from earlier in the morning but still had my voucher showing active for the day and they weren’t going to let me on the bus. It took going to 3 people and getting upset for them to let us on the bus. I was really disappointed as this was my in laws first time to NY and I had told them how great this bus would be. We will never do it again.
