What a colossal waste of time and money. Over crowded, long waits, long walks to the attractions… when the open air top is too crowded, the windows below deck are tinted or have adverts on them — good planning, guys. Never again… MAYBE a way to get transportation around the city and listen to pre-recorded history but IMHO .. not even vaguely worth it. As the packages increases in expense, the less value you get. RIPOFF!

I can easily say I have mixed reviews for this tour. I signed up for the Red tour which covered Theater district down to Lower Manhattan. You can see my pros and cons below. PROS: There were plenty of stops at popular tourist areas. I liked that there was an audio tour along with the right. It was interesting, informative and fun. I liked that there were several tour options to choose from and an App to buy tickets. The App was nice because it showed you where the pick up stops were located including an actual address. This was helpful when you are trying to find the bus stop. There was real time monitoring of the buses so you could see if a bus was about to arrive at your stop. Also very helpful. CONS: There was no real announcement when you were at the stop. Why did the driver not announce the stop or have this included in the tour audio? I ended up using the App to follow the route but someone could easily miss a stop. I was did notice that one of the stops in the financial district was overlooked. This was the stop near the bull. I had wanted to get off here so I could walk over to One World Observatory. The next stop was only a block or so way and it was not an issue BUT if this stop is not going to be used it should not be listed in the App. Other things to know.....they do offer disposable ear buds so you can listen to the audio tour. I opted to use my own. I did see hand sanitizer available on board the bus which was nice. Riders had the option to sit inside in the AC or on the open air top floor. There is not much seating inside. There is an area for wheelchairs or strollers. The view on the top floor is the better view. I would recommend going up top if you decide to use this tour company.
