Disappointed in guides. The drivers were great though. The uptown loop had the rudest guide on Dec 30, 2019. He was Not excited about New York and certainly not about the visitors on the bus. The driver, however, was very nice. The downtown loop guide was better. I did appreciate the ponchos on the rainy day.

Took the NYC downtown tour yesterday. Our tour guide Darius was extremely funny and kept us engaged even though a forced reroute near Chinatown

Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience with big bus. We purchased our tickets ahead of time thinking that would help us. It made no difference. When we got to the first stop, the man selling tickets on the street gave us a hard time for not buying tickets from him. Then we waited over an hour at the stop and watched as full buses passed by without allowing any more passengers to board (meanwhile, the competitors seems to have no problems accommodating their patrons). We decided to walk 5 blocks to the next nearest stop and try to board there but encountered the same problems. We tried one more stop, and again waited over an hour with no bus to board. I tried contacting the company for a refund, but was told it’s the busy season and no refunds were offered and that we should have expected he long wait times. When you’re trying to see NY in a day on a hop-on-hop-off bus, it’s hard to do when you waste 3 hours waiting and never even get to a bus.
