I was going to write a negative review about our trip on Big Bus Tours because of the long lines to board the bus at Times Square & at The Statue of Liberty bus stops, but We realized that Christmas time is one of the busiest time to visit NYC. Our first guide on our trip downtown was terrible, She was rude & nasty. I'm thinking I paid money just to have this woman yell at me, later after our boat cruise as we approached the bus stop we could see 50+ people waiting to get back on the bus.2 buses arrive within 25 min. but the buses were full with only room for a few riders. I'm thinking it's going to be another hour before we finally get on a bus. Then Steve showed up with a totally empty bus (Hurray!) By this time I was just glad to get on to a bus & really didn't care what he had to say, However Steve changed all that. I could hear his loud voice & commentary without using earphones. I knew this was going to be better experience then with our nasty guide earlier. Steve apologized for the long lines, he said that he knew everyone just want to get back to their hotel but he still had a lot to show us. In the 30 minutes we were on the bus with him Steve provided the best information, with an emotional aspect of the 9/11 attacks, funny jokes about New Jersey, he also gave us tips on where to eat in Hell's Kitchen. What started out to be a really crappy day in the city for my family ended up being really great with Steve as our tour guide. Thanks again Steve you saved the day!
