Great overview of the city. I have to give the bus drivers credit for their ability to navigate the city and traffic! Not your normal driving experience, this takes skills and patience!

Our day started off well on the Big Bus. It came on time at 9:32am. This was the only plus point. They don’t announce the stops and I had to monitor on the app to see where we were. This may have been given on the audio but we didn’t use as on a family trip with kids. The stop for Battery Park, is too far round and the stop should be closer to the destination. We had to walk back on ourselves. If you try to get a 4:30/5pm bus this will be very busy and full. We were first at the stop and when the bus came they passed the stop and collected people from the back of the queue. You have to fight for your place. We got told the bus was full and that an empty bus was coming 5 mins behind. Not true as the bus that came took way longer to arrive and it was just as full. We got told by the driver that there was no space but could see seats available on the top deck. The buses are battered and don’t arrive every 15mins as stated. We waited well over 40mins. As we had to wait so long we didn’t get to our destination as the bus has a final stop and we had to get off and walk. Not the best experience sums this one up.

The uptown loop was definitely the better part of this tour. Lots of good information and quizzes about the different stops and places we last. I would stay away from downtown loop. This was very boring and not a lot of good information
