During this approx 2 -hour snorkeling tour with a knowledgeable guide, watch these extraordinary creatures feed on plentiful plankton attracted by underwater lights. With wingspans that can reach more than 20 feet (6 meters) across, manta rays have no teeth or barb on the tail. I wish I can give a negative rating for this experience. Our reservation was scheduled to be at 6pm. We reached there before time and Buddha (one of the instructors) was there but the experience didn’t start until 6:45. Buddha kept complaining about the company for 5-10 mins. He was extremely unhelpful and rude during the whole time. This is my family’s first snorkeling experience, and we booked this place because it says beginners welcome and no experience needed. However, the instructors (Buddha and another guy) did not explain in detail what is expected, and kept saying “oh god, I hope everyone knows how to swim” right before we went on the boat (just imagine how my family felt when we were about to head into the ocean at 7pm with a small boat that fits about 20 people). After everyone got onto the boat (which was over an hour late), they did not give us life jacket, snorkeling equipment, nor explained ANYTHING. They were just chatting with their friends, and did not offer to give us life jackets until we requested it(???). Additionally, they did not explain to us how to use the snorkeling glass, which might be easy for experienced snorkelers, but it is not intuitive to use for first timers. Anyways, I hope you don’t have to go through any of this, and book somewhere else that will offer a decent snorkeling experience.

The ad on viator and the merchants site is misleading. Do not buy this tour it’s not what you expect. It says you snorkel with manta rays and they swim around you. This is not true. They can’t swim around you because they stay far below you. You are taken out to the ocean, a raft is thrown out and u swim or are taken to the raft. The entire time you hang onto a rope and dip your face under the water to see the manta rays (we saw one). It’s akin to putting on goggles and dipping ur face into a fish tank to see the fish in the tank. If you have young children it’s hard for them to hang onto the rope. The current thrashes them about. We called viator to see if it was suitable for our 5 year old. They said yes, but it’s not. During our tour over 10 people were taken back to boat because they felt sick from hanging onto the raft. A few vomited on way back and were given barf bags and ginger ale.

Honestly, this review is ridiculous. You booked this back in November last year and yesterday ( Feb 2023) requested a refund because the children didn't enjoy it and got seasick. In your original refund statement you said 6 people got sick now this review says 10. I have never heard someone complain about the wording of "Manta Rays swimming around you" They come within centimeters of you. We have many families join this experience and have a wonderful time. Sorry, the kids got seasick and didn't fully enjoy.......but honestly you booked a snorkel trip on a boat.

Kris and BUDDHA were the best! Safe! Small group! Lots of love and care went into our time on this trip. It was efficient, the boat trip felt safe, we got to see whales, learn about mantas, and saw Three of them during our snorkel. Can’t recommend these guys enough!
