We were only in Haines for 4 hours during our Alaska cruise. Chad, our guide, made sure that we used that time efficiently. He knew just the right place for us to see animals-salmon, mountain goats, brown bear, eagles, trumpeter swan. Such a fun time.

Thanks for this great review. It is challenging for us when ships are in Haines for only four hours, but we do our best to offer tours that fit into the time frame. Our 2.5 hour Chilkoot tour is designed especially fo days when big cruise ships are docked in Haines. It sounds like you really saw a lot in your short time in Haines and it sounds like Chad did a great job. Thanks for sharing your experience with others.

Saw 3 Bald Eagles and 2 brownies playing in the flats. What an experience. Chad was a wealth of information about the area and its environmental diversity.

I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed your wildlife tour to Haines with us. You were early in the season for reliable bear viewing but it sounds like you got lucky. Chad has a master's degree in fisheries biology and a lifetime of experience in the field. He is an amazing guide.

Amy was an awesome tour guide. She communicated her knowledge and her passion for the Chilakoot Lake area and the animals that inhabit it. She was a lot of fun too she helped us locate Eagles and big woolly white goats in the mountains with our cameras and binoculars just terrific! hi Amy’s mom! Amy was doing great as of June 11.
