Your Deluxe Manatee Swim Tour provides a unique opportunity to view Florida's Nature Coast. CRWS is a proud member of the Save the Manatee Club Guardian Guide Program - promoting passive observation and responsible eco tourism. Your tour will take you past a state Archaeological Park, a State Nature Preserve and to a National Wildlife Refuge. You may view up to 57 varieties of birds, river otters, deer, pigs dolphins, a variety of fish and turtles besides the opportunity to swim in the area of the gentle giants manatees.

What an amazing experience. If you know someone who is pregnant this is something worth doing! To start ,check in was an easy process and Leah was there every step of the way, outfitting you in the wetsuits. A 7-8 minute video ensued of the rules and regulations about the manatees and proper etiquette. Once aboard the boat, Jim our captain was waiting for us! Jim was such a pleasure to be around and his knowledge of the river and manatees was amazing! Jim was very funny telling jokes and keeping us entertained. Leah was incredible guide in the water keeping us close to the manatees. Leah made sure you we were staying still and manatees were swimming up close to us! Would highly recommend booking with Leah as your guide and Jim as the captain!! Thank you for an amazing adventure!

Leah and Jim are two of our crew members whom have been with CRWS for a length of time. Our retention rates are high because our employees are happy to be doing what they do. We love that you were able to experience such an awesome day with us and look forward to return visits.

My 2 daughters and I celebrated the youngest daughters 50th birthday by joining Leah, our guide, and Kev, our boat captain, to swim with the Manatees in the clear cold waters of the Crystal River. We were all three uncertain of what the experience would entail and whether we could accomplish what was required. Leah met us as we entered the building and immediately put us at ease. She quickly got us organized, walked us through what to expect, and helped us get into our wetsuits. Before we knew it we were on board Kev's boat and heading out spotting manatees and other wildlife as we went. We followed Leah's instructions on entering the water slowly and softly and moving through the water calmly. Doing so we learned helped keep the water clear. The manatee we spent the most time with was a very large pregnant female who was busily eating the grass on the bottom and seemed not to mind our presence alongside and in front of her at all. It was a magical time. We also got to watch dolphins fish by stirring up the mullet, causing them to jump out of the water, and then catching them in the air. I have watched dolphins all my life and never seen anything like it. Leah and Kev were fun and funny but also very expert and knowledgable. All of our needs were met, including having the opportunity to purchase for a small fee a manatee-shaped USB flash drive full of pictures of our underwater experience. If you like this kind of activity I recommend Crystal River Watersports and be sure to ask for Leah and Kev.

Wonderful boat ride where Kevin and Leah shared with us local wildlife as well as science behind the manatees. They drove right out to find one like it was planned. They took pictures and even helped with the kids as they struggled to get a hang of floating. They were friendly, knowledgeable and even a bit funny. We really had a great time. Their passion seemed to be making sure we had a great time and kept the mantees safe.
