The lights were beautiful. We enjoyed being able to walk around and see them. We did have a bit of a problem understanding the tour director - he went from one language to another which is great, but left us confused as to where did one end and another begin. I was looking forward to seeing the Blue Bloods house which was shown on the booking information, but it was never mentioned, so we are not sure if we passed it or not. It would be nice if there was an arrangement worked out between the police and the buses so we didn't have to stand on the corner for so long waiting for the bus to return since they had them move from the spot they were parked in. It was cold! One other thing, it would have been nice for a bathroom stop - the one on the bus was full and did not flush.
We decided to take in a trip a little different to the usual sightseeing in New York this December and so chose to admire the Christmas Lights in Dyker Heights in Brooklyn. We were not disappointed from start to finish. We arrived at the allocated pick up point and staff were there early to welcome us. Alan our guide was outstanding, so informative and his presentation fun and personal. On arriving in Brooklyn the displays were simply awesome! Not to be missed. I will never look at house decorations in the same way. We stopped at at DUMBO on the way home for a very welcoming hot drink and the chance to see Manhattan at night. A fabulous way to end the evening. Fully recommend this trip.
The lights were spectacular, the bonus stop to get hot chocolate with views of Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge was AMAZING, the tour guide was very nice. The only thing that was a con was the trip out to Brooklyn traffic was tough but there is no control over that. I would recommend this tour to have the experience. Gets you into the Christmas spirit!
