Garl showed us the real Everglades. We booked the full day tour which included an on foot walk through cypress domes and home to named alligators on their home turf and then a fresh water kayak through a labyrinth of red mangroves filled with gators, fish and an incredible piece of unspoiled nature. We were unable to do the salt water kayak due to high winds so Garl just charged us for the half-day tour. He was highly recommended by dive instructor where we were diving in Key Largo. Booking was easy with Becca. She patiently explained what we would be doing and emailed us what we needed to wear and bring and directions on where to meet Garl. He donned us with special long pants and tops designed to keep insects away which came in very handy. It was obvious from the beginning that Garl loves the Everglades. He treats this natural beauty with the reverence it deserves. He also took special care to show us everything that he could during the trip. This included an unscheduled stop to watch a turtle begin to dig a nest and another stop to see baby alligators. He made sure we wore water shoes since we were walking through water and mud and into the animals' territory. He showed us snakes, bromeliads, orchids, gators, and shared stories and answered all of our many questions. In fact he seemed to thrive on the questions and talk about the wonders of this place that he clearly loves. He gave us a treasured experience that has been the highlight of our visit. Thank you Garl!
