The Royal Gorge is one of the most thrilling and exciting whitewater rafting trips on the Arkansas River. Enjoy the beauty and thrill of God’s creation as you experience 1,000 foot high canyon walls, confront exciting Class III-V rapids, and see the famous Royal Gorge Bridge. Full-day trips start with Bighorn Canyon (class III-IV), break for a delicious riverside lunch, then drop into the Royal Gorge (class IV-V).

Journey Quest is a non-profit Christ-centered rafting ministry, and these trip are uplifting, family-friendly adventures. The Royal Gorge is a serious section of river. Previous class III or higher paddling experience and strong swimming ability are recommended for all guests. For the safety of our guests and guides, we cannot take guests who are over 250lbs or individuals with a history of heart or serious medical problems.

Journey Quest provided a great rafting experience. All of the guides and office personnel were so friendly. I think it was more of a personal experience (and less expensive) than you get with some of the "bigger" rafting companies in the area. Would do another trip with them without hesitation. The Christian aspect is low key and not preachy, so don't let that scare you off.

We have went on many raft trips with our family and this one surpassed them all! I would recommend Journey Quest to everyone! Their guides' training is the best around! All their guides and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. You have many options for your family to take on the river...from a nice family float for all ages to a very challenging trip through the Royal Gorge for older teens! You will not be disappointed! I love that is a Christian company that prays before you take your exciting journey on the river also. The prices are amazing also! I would highly recommend this company to everyone! We went on the full day trip through the Royal Gorge with four teenagers with lunch in the middle and everyone had an amazing time!

Journey Quest is a smaller company so they are the best go to go with as opposed to the large scale companies that take massive amounts of boats down the river every day. With a small company we stopped to swim and cliff jump which the bigger companies didn't have time for. Great company I would highly recommend. BTW - I was a guide for three years with a larger company so I know a great company
