The train can accommodate a motorized scooter if it is no wider than 25 inches. There is a special lift to lift the scooter onto the train.
Please note: Arizona doesn't observe Day Light Savings and switches between MST (Mountain Standard Time) and PST (Pacific Standard Time) depending on the season.
Post COVID-19 Safety Updates - We politely request that you refrain from taking this tour should you start displaying any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19, or if you are at a high risk of contracting the disease. Please ensure 1 person per group wait in line for ticket exchange. Face masks will be highly recommended. Social distancing will be practiced on train platform and on the train. Seating on board the train will be limited to maximize social distancing, and guests will be asked to promptly take their seat keeping aisles clear and to remain seated except to use restrooms.

The train ride was excellent. We rode in Pullman class which was the cheapest. Part of the reason for the lower cost was the train car did not have air conditioning. However, there were ceiling fans and all of the windows were openable and this allowed for a nice breeze and it was very comfortable. There is ice cold water available in every train car as well as a bathroom. There is a Cafe Car where you can get drinks and snacks. Prior to the train ride there was a short (15 minutes) western cowboy show that was very entertaining with funny cowboy actors. Additionally, on the ride each car has a host who gives narration regarding the history of the train, points of interest, and fun corny jokes. Our host, Cassidy was outstanding. There was a cowboy guitarist/singer who was very entertaining and very talented. On the return trip there is a train robbery skit that was a lot of fun. Our group consisted of two adults and our two older children (20 & 21 years of age). We all enjoyed the trip very much and would highly recommend.

This was so great; our car’s guide, Teryl, told us so much of the history and background information on the railway, the Grand Canyon, the hotel and the Gibson Girls that you wouldn’t find out without a lot of research on your own.

The train experience gave us another fun way to visit the Canyon. And our train car ‘comedian’, Rob, was great at entertaining us on a long ride. The other entertainment was well done too. It was a good day!!! Williams is such a fun town!!!!
