The train can accommodate a motorized scooter if it is no wider than 25 inches. There is a special lift to lift the scooter onto the train.
Please note: Arizona doesn't observe Day Light Savings and switches between MST (Mountain Standard Time) and PST (Pacific Standard Time) depending on the season.

Please ensure 1 person per group wait in line for ticket exchange. Face masks will be highly recommended. Social distancing will be practiced on train platform and on the train. Seating on board the train will be limited to maximize social distancing, and guests will be asked to promptly take their seat keeping aisles clear and to remain seated except to use restrooms.

Taking the Grand Canyon Railroad ride from Williams to the Grand Canyon is a fun thing to do. The trip is a bit more than 2 hours long each way and it is a relaxing way to get to Grand Canyon. We were in the coach class car and it was quite comfortable. Cold water was given to all and there is a cafe car which sells snacks and drinks. The trip is especially enjoyable for children as there is a performer who goes through the train singing and playing the guitar who also includes tid bits that are meant for the adults entertainment. The return trip includes a " train robbery" by the Cataract Gang. All good fun. When purchasing tickets, I would suggest skipping the optional bus tours. The tour was fine, but it takes up too much time if you are returning on the same day. There simply is not enough time to wander around and experience more that the Canyon has to offer. I must compliment the Railway for making it accessible. They set up ramps for easy boarding and departing from the train. An overall good experience with good staff handling things.

We did the one day up and back and it was just right. Fun Vaudville entertainment as well as a robbery! We enjoyed the ride and review by our Grand Cameron MC. Show up early for the Wild West show. It was a boot in the pants and the train ride was fine.

Very professional and courteous staff and operation. On schedule and services as advertised. Beyond the "live" entertainment it is a train ride through the arid plateau. This is not about the trip, but the destination. I wanted to avoid the drive, however we did first class accommodations and expected a little more. I would skip the fluff, go on the pullman cars and spend your money on things at the canyon.
