Огляд

The ultimate multi activity package: a helicopter tour, a dogsled tour and a landing on the lower glacier to explore the melt pools and crevasses.

Start this adventure with a spectacular helicopter ride over glaciers and icebergs. We often see moose, black bears, Dall sheep and mountain goats. Land on a huge snow field high on a glacier and enjoy a whole hour with Alaskan sled dogs and their mushers that live here all summer long. Take the dog team for an exhilarating dogsled ride through real snow. You can stand on the runners and mush your own dog team if you want, or just sit on the sled and let the mushers run the team.

After the tour the helicopter takes you to the lower glaciers where you will land on the hard ice between the crevasses to see the majestic blue melt pools.

Total Tour time 2 hours - 1 hour on the glacier with dogsledding (aprox 30 min sled ride) and 30 min at the lower glacier near the crevasses and blue melt pools. Aprox 30 min of flight seeing total round trip

Alaska Helicopter Tours has Robinson 44s and ASTAR helicopters. We never guarantee the type of helicopter you will be flying in unless a private helicopter option is purchased. Parties with multiple separate bookings, or parties over 2 passengers may be in 2 helicopters, but will always be together for the tour.

Our pilot and tour guide was shad Burnham. He flew steadily and showed us so many animals. We didn't know if the weather would allow us to do the dogsled portion on the hanging cataract (sp?) Glacier, but we made it in and it was snowing! The dogsled portion was led by Emily, and she was so amazingly cheerful, had the most hilarious sunglass tan, and she did snow angels w my daughter! My kids had a total blast w the dogs, I think they wanted to meet every dog. Emily showed us her pod living quarters on the glacier, and then we were off! Shad flew us to the next glacier landing which was a glacial pool. Perfect blue. Huge. Amazing. We got a few bottles of water. Kid dropped it in the river and shad popped in the little glacial river and saved it! Leave no trace! After a little time enjoying the awesome views, shad flew us back to the lodge, and pointed out tons of wildlife along the way. Lots and lots of moose. 🥰 I imagine it must be hard to deal w crazy tourists all day but shad and Emily both did an excellent job. A+! Expensive. Well worth it.

This tour was an amazing experience that everyone should do when in Alaksa! We got picked up at our hotel by Kris, who is so friendly and will even sing his own made up song about Alaska to you if you’re lucky. Our Pilot was Christian. We didn’t have the best weather, but he was a pro and managed to make it to the dog sledding camp. He’s a fantastic pilot, we were never scared. The dog camp was something out of a movie. Ellen was our musher, she’s from Wisconsin. She was so sweet and welcoming and good with the dogs. They take very good care of the dogs, which was nice to see. The views of the glacier and the dog sledding was such a great experience and a must do tour. Every person we encountered along the way was very sweet and also so passionate about their job. Was a pleasure to be part of this tour. Thank you for the memories.

This was an incredible trip. We were awestruck (literally!) by this giant of nature. I love helicopter rides and this was my second one so it was thrilling! We did not get to do the dogsledding due to weather but we were so happy with our experience. I highly recommend this trip. I just wish everyone could do it to understand what is so precious about nature!
