Please look at our Departure and Return instructions before your trip with us. If you have any questions please reach out before you dock in town. We will pick you up at the excursion hub which is by the bottom of the zipline by the green gondola. Also do not go the kayak center. There are two kayak business in town.

Fairweather Kayaks is based in one of the most beautiful areas in southeast Alaska. A little town called Hoonah, Alaska. Not only do you feel like its home when you get here. The people here make it feel like home. It's a hard place to leave after you visit.

Fairweather Kayaks main goal is to show you an experience that when your outing is done. Not only will you walk away happy and relaxed from being out on the water. Our goal is to show you such a good time you'll be thinking about your next visit before you even leave.

Fairweather Kayaks takes you into calm waters where the kayaking experience isnt too difficult and theres always a chance to see wildlife.

Cody, Michelle, Terry, and especially Dave made my experience in Hoonah/Icy Pointe absolutely amazing. I would recommend this small locally and family ran business to anyone visiting, whether by air, sea, or land. They are so patient, caring, and understanding. Not only are they professional, but as well as hospital and familial. I was a solo kayaker so they gave me the option to be in a solo kayak or be with the guide (totally the VIP experience). We saw lots of friends, from humpbacks, sea lions, eagles, and even had the opportunity to hold and kiss a crab that was caught by them. Not even a whale watching tour gave me the experience I had. Definitely a memorable once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I would also like to add, had I wish I known, if you're not a fan of kayaking or cannot, they have a small boat that follows the kayaks, this would've been AMAZING for my mom as she opted out of the kayaking for anyone who is afraid of having family left out for any disabiliting or fearing reasons :)

We had an awesome time on this excursion. Dave, Cody, and crew made us feel right at home (even for those of us who had never stepped into a kayak before) and were very efficient at getting everyone in our group geared up and into the water. As we were making our way back, we came across a pod of five whales and were able to paddle over and spend extra time watching them feed, which was an incredible experience!

Our family of seven had a greatvtime in this trip! Great communication, prompt pick up and return, interesting commentary along the way. Snacks, water, and all the waterproof equipment you need to enjoy a kayak trip are provided.
