Yellowstone Hiking Guides safely leads hiking groups into the Lamar Valley on a wildlife viewing day hike tour.

Our guides are experts and fun is a top priority. Regularly, we spot wolves, bears, and other rare wildlife from the trail in the backcountry of Yellowstone.

Our tours are off the beaten path, traveling on bison trails for the majority of the hike. Most tour providers in Yellowstone spend the majority of the day on the road, or very close to the road. Our guides take you into the backcountry for unique views of the Lamar Valley that you cannot see from the roadway.

Frequently, our guests tell us that they could not do this hike on their own. We also hear feedback stating this is the best part of our guest's vacation to Yellowstone.

Mark was an amazing guide! On our hike we were able to spot a wolf pup, grizzly bear and a badger in addition to prong horns, bison and ground squirrels. He was eager to share his knowledge of the flora and fauna and patiently answered our many questions, all the while ever mindful of our safety. I would recommend Yellowstone Hiking Guides to anyone who wants an in depth experience of Yellowstone.

We had SO much fun with Emily in the Lamar Valley. We were fortunate to have a private hike with her and she took us into the backcountry to get a truly unique experience. As Emily led us through the valley, she shared her passion and knowledge with us. She also asked us lots of questions about our own lives and by the time the hike was over, we felt like we had just spent the day with a good friend. As we crossed a highway of bison, we felt completely safe with her. I can't recommend this hike enough. This is the sort of experience that will stay with you for your entire life.
