Yellowstone Hiking Guides safely leads hiking groups into the Lamar Valley on a wildlife viewing day hike tour.

Our guides are experts and fun is a top priority. Regularly, we spot wolves, bears, and other rare wildlife from the trail in the backcountry of Yellowstone.

Our tours are off the beaten path, traveling on bison trails for the majority of the hike. Most tour providers in Yellowstone spend the majority of the day on the road, or very close to the road. Our guides take you into the backcountry for unique views of the Lamar Valley that you cannot see from the roadway.

Frequently, our guests tell us that they could not do this hike on their own. We also hear feedback stating this is the best part of our guest's vacation to Yellowstone.

Really enjoyed my first hike in Yellowstone. I went solo, with Alex as my guide, and a very delightful family of 4 to round out the group. Our guide/ Alex was very knowledgeable about the plant and wildlife, geography, and Yellowstone history. He engaged everyone on the hike, making sure we had a pleasant experience. Safety was at the forefront as expected in regards to Yellowstone animals but Alex also addressed general hiking safety including making sure we were drinking water, and that we had bug spray and sunscreen applied. The lunch and snacks provided were yummy. Recommend Yellowstone Hiking Guides , and our guide Alex!

The Lamar valley is a very special place and of course the animals were, as all always the stars of the show. Mark, our guide made the experience even better, with his attention to detail and knowledge of the area. Mark was also very friendly and by the end of the day had our group all chatting together as though they were old friends. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would recommend the trip to anyone.
