THIS IS THE OPPOSITE OF A PACKAGED TOUR. It's a private, customized journey through our most unique and iconic scenery. Along the way, I'll show you how to get great photos you can share and frame.

This is for people who want to see what really makes San Francisco the most spectacular city in the world — its natural surroundings!

We can hike, bike, trail run, or even just drive to awesome places if you're not feeling energetic. Along the way, I'll show you how to take killer pictures using just the phone in your pocket.

I'll create our itinerary based on your interests, how active you want to get, and what the weather's doing that day.

In the winter, we can see waterfalls in misty redwood forests. In the spring, green hills full of wildflowers. In the summer, fog rolling in off the ocean. And in the fall, incandescent sunsets over crashing waves. It's awesome all year round!

If you have a wheelchair or stroller, we can put it in the back of my SUV and we can focus on accessible areas. Service animals are welcome, but might limit our access to certain areas.
If you have any health concerns such as those listed here, we can ease back on the physical activities to whatever you feel is safe and appropriate for you.

My wife and I had an incredible time exploring with Nik during our visit from Seattle! Having been to SF many times we’d already hit the usual tourist spots and were looking for something unexpected. Nik tailored the adventure perfectly to our schedule and interests. Instead of a long, strenuous hike, we opted for a mix of shorter, easier walks to several unique and stunning locations. We started with a beautiful waterfall, then wandered through redwood canyons where we discovered little “Hobbit” houses tucked into the forest. From there, we drove along the Sausalito waterfront, stopped for incredible views of the Golden Gate Bridge, and explored some eerie old WWII era bunkers. The highlight of the day was our final stop, an abandoned military base perched on a massive cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The sunset views were absolutely breathtaking, and the photos we captured were some of the best from our entire trip. This was hands down one of the most memorable tours we’ve ever taken. If you’re looking for a personalized, off-the-beaten-path adventure in the Bay Area, this is it! Nik is a native of the SF Bay having grown up in Marin. His knowledge of the area is amazing and you can sense how much he enjoys sharing the beauty and history with those that he takes out on these fun adventures.

What a cool experience! We were originally interested in a day-hike, but Nik mentioned that if we waited until the evening, we’d be able to see the sunset and moonrise at almost the same time. And, also that night, there happened to be a comet. So, we decided to take his advice and are so glad we did! We started in the afternoon and hiked to a hilltop with 360 views of the ocean on one side and the whole Bay Area on the other, including the Golden Gate Bridge and SF. The timing was perfect. We reached the top just as the sun was going down, and 5 mins later, the full moon came up on the other side, above the bridge and city. Then, we hiked back down to the car by moonlight, we barely needed our flashlights. And on the way, we could see the comet too, although it was pretty faint because the moon was so bright. We got some awesome pics, too. He gave us pointers on how to make the most of the light in each shot and how to crop the shots. I completely recommend booking something with Nik if you want a cool experience. He's a super nice guy and has a great enthusiasm for helping others to enjoy exploring this area that he loves.

I had an outstanding experience on Nik’s tour, easily one of the best I’ve been on! Nik is an exceptionally knowledgeable guide who not only shared the fascinating history of each location but also led us to stunning, hidden spots often overlooked by other tours.
