THIS IS THE OPPOSITE OF A PACKAGED TOUR. It's a private, customized journey through our most unique and iconic scenery. Along the way, I'll show you how to get great photos you can share and frame.

This is for people who want to see what really makes San Francisco the most spectacular city in the world — its natural surroundings!

We can hike, bike, trail run, or even just drive to awesome places if you're not feeling energetic. Along the way, I'll show you how to take killer pictures using just the phone in your pocket.

I'll create our itinerary based on your interests, how active you want to get, and what the weather's doing that day.

In the winter, we can see waterfalls in misty redwood forests. In the spring, green hills full of wildflowers. In the summer, fog rolling in off the ocean. And in the fall, incandescent sunsets over crashing waves. It's awesome all year round!

If you have a wheelchair or stroller, we can put it in the back of my SUV and we can focus on accessible areas. Service animals are welcome, but might limit our access to certain areas.
If you have any health concerns such as those listed here, we can ease back on the physical activities to whatever you feel is safe and appropriate for you.

I’m glad we found this option! I was in town for work and wanted to see some of the area before heading home, but not with a typical packaged tour. My friends and I are pretty athletic, so we wanted something active. Mountain biking was our first choice, but we couldn’t find any real bike excursions beyond just pedaling across the bridge on bike paths. Then I saw this listing and it turned out to be really cool! The guide, Nik, was super flexible and took us on some trails that we never could have found on our own. It was a mix of redwood forests and big hills with awesome ocean views and fast descents. I got the sense that he does hiking and running and photography tours also, so I definitely recommend this if you’re not into the tour-bus scene. Nik shared his history in the area and it was clear during our excursion that he knows a lot. We would have never found some of the routes and views we visited on our own. Thanks Nik!

My wife and I had a great time seeing some awesome places with Nik during our visit from Seattle. We’ve been to SF several times and have seen all the usual tourist places so we wanted something different. This was perfect! We didn’t have time for a huge hike and we wanted a variety of sights, so we ended up driving from spot to spot and doing shorter/easier hikes to the cool things along the way. We checked out a nice waterfall and then headed up into the redwood canyons to see some interesting “Hobbit” houses built into the forest. Then we drove along the Sausalito waterfront and up to a hill overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and the national parklands. We explored some creepy old bunkers, too. The highlight was at the end when we went to this abandoned old military base sitting on the edge of a huge cliff with amazing views of the sunset. The photos we took were awesome, too!

We went mountain biking with Nik and had a blast! My buddy came to visit from New York and he wanted to go biking, but I haven’t done much riding around here and didn’t know where to go. Nik said we could rent bikes at Tam Bikes in Mill Valley (it was quick, easy, and they had exactly what we needed) and took us on this epic loop up Mt. Tam and out to the coast. The trails were challenging but not too technical. Lots of climbing and lots of fun downhills on single track. At each junction, he explained our options and gave us choices so we knew what we were getting into. He also coached me a bit on keeping my weight back and how to use my brakes in corners. It was a great day with awesome riding for our different skill levels. The views were amazing. We didn’t have time to do any photo coaching but he got some cool pics of us biking. We were pretty tired at the end, and starving for burritos! Book a day with Nik for biking or hiking. You won’t be disappointed.
