This was such an amazing time. My wife and I drove from Phoenix to see the tour. The Sedona area has a cute little town right by the tour location. Very clean and friendly area. I was worried about the clouds as we were getting closer to tour time. Check in and description of what was happening were spot on from what they promised. They provided chairs that you could move if you wanted to see a better area. They gave you blankets. Which in December we needed. They put 6 people per telescope. Our group had about 18 people. The also had binoculars if you wanted to see the sky better. The started off immediately saying if they didn't get through there tour due to the clouds we would get a refund for the tour. They were confident the clouds would move on. They did by the way. The sky was amazing and it was full of stars. Never realized how much the light pollution takes away from the vast amount of stars. They started off showing some deep space stars and a nebula and some star clusters. We also say Saturn and Jupiter. Unfortunately with the kind of telescope you couldn't see it like it was from NASA and there photo enhanced pictures but it was still impressive to me. Saturn and Jupiter where our favorites. Even with 6 people on the telescope we got to check it out a few times before going to the next. The tour guides kept the tour engaging as well as giving out a lot of amazing information as you started off into the sky. All and all this was well worth it to us.

This was a great, educational experience. The guides were very knowledgeable and the views were AMAZING! The telescopes alone are worth it- you won’t get those views even with an expensive home version. But- depending on when you go it can be cold so dress appropriately.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stargazing experience. After seeing clouds much of the day we were a little concerned about the conditions, but by the time our 9pm session started it was perfectly clear and the view was amazing. Our guide's commentary was very insightful and he took lots of questions - he's clearly an expert in the field, not just a hobbyist. The telescopes are professional quality and you will have help making use of them. There is one telescope for every 4-6 people and this works out fine. Pay attention to the tips on focusing and ask for help to make sure you get the best view. Also, remember that it gets cold in the evening and dress accordingly.
