Learn to surf on this 2-hour group lesson on Oahu. Join a group of students and discover how to ride the waves like some of the Island's most famous celebrities with the help of a certified, professional instructor. We have small student to instructor ratio of 1 instructor for every 3-4 students. Waikiki Surf Lesson starts a 10 minute safety slide show inside our surf shop, followed by heading to the beach and practicing on the sand for another 10 minutes. In our 20 year experience, we know that surfing is muscle memory, so when first timers master their surf stance then they tend to get up on their very first wave.

I wish I had looked around at other options before choosing the “most purchased” on Viator. It was a chaotic experience. To start, they didn’t have an instructor for us, so called one in, then the actual instructor showed up. The one we had, who was called in, rushed through the land lesson and barked orders at us the whole time. He gave us very few pointers along the way, and when I asked questions, I was told that there’s no answer because it’s all feel and years of experience. This was not the fun experience we were hoping for. We did get up and learned how to surf. But, the overall experience was rushed with an instructor who yelled a lot.

The staff in the store was very kind and helpful, and the instructors were very helpful and knowledgeable. My wife got her leash stuck on coral and was scared for a bit but Keaton went under the water to untangle her safely and gently encouraged her to keep going and we both had a great time. Very very happy and appreciative of the entire situation, and thankful that they took care of my wife. Highly recommend. My only stipulation is the prices for the pictures were far too high for us to pay for the package, $140 for two people was out of our price range
