Learn to surf on this 2-hour group lesson on Oahu. Join a group of students and discover how to ride the waves like some of the Island's most famous celebrities with the help of a certified, professional instructor. We have small student to instructor ratio of 1 instructor for every 3-4 students. Waikiki Surf Lesson starts a 10 minute safety slide show inside our surf shop, followed by heading to the beach and practicing on the sand for another 10 minutes. In our 20 year experience, we know that surfing is muscle memory, so when first timers master their surf stance then they tend to get up on their very first wave.

This was a great beginner surfing class. I’ve taken one other surf class about six years ago in Kauai and this one was definitely more detailed. They begin with a video that shows you some very necessary, safety precautions when being in the water with so many people as as well as steps for standing up on your surfboard, which I think would’ve been helpful the first time I went surfing. The waves at Waikiki are small so again they are perfect for beginners. Halfway through my 14yr son was asking bigger waves.lol we both picked it up right away and we’re even able to catch some waves on our own halfway through the lesson. Seth, our instructor was fantastic, super friendly, super professional. The only downside is the water is so shallow. There was lots of coral close to the surface and so they instruct you to fall flat on your stomach if you do fall. Both my son and I got a scrape, which was no big deal, but I could imagine it could be dangerous for people not as agile.

The guides were great and made sure everyone had an equally good time. They were very knowledgeable and encouraging
