I was really keen to zipline, to see the rainforest from up high, despite being nervous of heights and decided on OTC from the reviews. Some places use automatic braking which I thought might be better for me as it would be one less thing to worry about but I'm glad we went for OTC. Braking yourself, with the leather glove was well explained and not a problem at all. Our guides Gerald and Greivin were very professional, safety conscious and as the morning progressed it turned out, had a dry sense of humour! The tarzan swing at the beginning was optional but we thought we'd give it a go and it turned out to be a good warm-up for the ziplines! My legs were jelly from then on but the experience was fantastic. There was great variety with the bridge, rappel and climb up the inside of the fig tree. The lines were all slightly different and well planned. Our guide Gerald was part of the team who built the platforms up in the canopy - it was so interesting to see how they were constructed in an unobtrusive way so you really felt you were suspended in the canopy. The view from the last 800m line was stunning. It was very, very high and awesome. My husband complained jokingly that he had organised romantic dinners for us on hols and I'd organised swinging through the trees, but he loved it as much as I did. We were in a group of 4 with 2 lovely girls who were great company. Thanks, guys for a brilliant morning and hope the exams went well Gerald! P.S. Pictures were great too!
