Washington En Français was excellent in helping plan and execute a two-day tour of Alexandria, VA, and Washington D.C.!
Catherine was a great help in the months leading up to the tours. Our group consisted of English-only speakers, French-only speakers, a couple of German and English speakers, and one family member who could speak French, German, and English. Catherine displayed great patience in helping me coordinate which places to tour based on our interests, and her suggestions were perfect!
On Day 1, we met Helga to tour Alexandria, VA. She was kind and considerate and waited patiently for us to finish our lunch. She even joined us at the table, greeted each of us individually, and showed genuine interest in getting to know us. Helga knew so much about Alexandria and was honest about what she didn’t know. She had no problem taking us to a couple of spots not on the suggested route, to accommodate our specific interests. We all felt very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with her!
On Day 2, we met Catherine to tour the Washington D.C. Mall area as described on their website. Catherine made an immediate good impression to everyone! She is very knowledgeable about the history of Washington D.C. as well as other important historical points about the United States. Catherine is personable and took the time to chat with each of us during our half-day tour. I also appreciated how concerned she was about our schedule, making sure the tour ended on time! We had a wonderful time hearing about the rich history in D.C., and Catherine emailed me the next day answering the few questions we had that she needed to research!
Helga and Catherine were able to easily switch back-and-forth from English to French (and German!) to give each of us all the tour details. Giving a tour in multiple languages to a group of people would absolutely overwhelm me, but these wonderful ladies were professional, calm, and appeared to love what they do!
I HIGHLY recommend Washington En Français, you will not be disappointed!
