What To Expect

Tampa Water Taxi Company

After boarding your cruise, you'll travel out in the bay to see pods of friendly Atlantic Bottle-nose dolphins. Your captain will bring you to areas where these dolphins spend their day feeding, playing and raising there young. Just outside Tampa's downtown is the nursery for Tampa Bay's dolphin population where mothers and calves frolic the day away. Your guide will explain the daily life and habits of the dolphin on this 1.5-hour cruise. When your guides spot the pods of dolphins, the boat will stop within 30 feet (10 meters) or less as the guides have ways to get them to come right to the boats. Keep your cameras ready as you will see dolphins closer than you ever thought. You will be a master of dolphin spotting by the end of your cruise! After seeing the dolphins you'll head back to to downtown Tampa, cruising the channels and river and learning about the great city of Tampa.

The guide, Mark, was great and very informative. Had a nice cruise to where the dolphins likely were with lots of information along the way to entertain us. Fortunately (but knowing upon booking seeing wild dolphins is not guaranteed) we found 2-3 and they were very entertaining and beautiful. Great way to spend 1.5 hours before an afternoon flight home. Would recommend.

All tours leave on time in respect to the guests that are on board . Refund terms and conditions are set by Viator and agreed to by you when you book on line. We have no control of there terms. If you asked us "is there a refund when we miss the departure." we must repeat Viator rules "no". If you called us and asked what we can do, we would have made you some offers to make up for your missing your departure. But instead you left a 1 star review closing any doors.

The company cancelled the tour with no notice. We Showed up to the departure site and had to call the company when the boat and captain did not show up. Was advised they cancelled the tour due to inclement weather. It was the most beautiful sunny day. When I called the company the man on the phone was rude and disrespectful when I asked him why the tour was canceled and how a refund would be processed.

We cancel because of weather for your safety, we don't just look over your head but 2 hours ahead of departure time. Now you booked through a online company that DOES NOT give us your contact information (no phone of email). We can only contact you through there email. We informed them at 7am that the tour was cancelled and requested they refund you. They did not relay that message. In you conformation we request that you call to confirm the departure because weather changes quickly in Florida.
