What To Expect

After boarding your cruise, you'll travel out in the bay to see pods of friendly Atlantic Bottle-nose dolphins. Your captain will bring you to areas where these dolphins spend their day feeding, playing and raising there young. Just outside Tampa's downtown is the nursery for Tampa Bay's dolphin population where mothers and calves frolic the day away. Your guide will explain the daily life and habits of the dolphin on this 1.5-hour cruise. When your guides spot the pods of dolphins, the boat will stop within 30 feet (10 meters) or less as the guides have ways to get them to come right to the boats. Keep your cameras ready as you will see dolphins closer than you ever thought. You will be a master of dolphin spotting by the end of your cruise! After seeing the dolphins you'll head back to to downtown Tampa, cruising the channels and river and learning about the great city of Tampa.

This tour was great! Captain Larry was phenomenal & very knowledgeable about dolphins. We saw 20+ dolphins & got some great up-close videos. The company also accommodated us bu switching our time slot from 11 to 2pm due to fog in the morning. Would definitely recommend this over any other dolphin tour in the area!

I have lived in Tampa for a while now & have never done this type of tour! Larry was amazing & we saw about 30 dolphins! Really really amazing experience.

You need to be early because it is difficult to find. We got there early and the boat was not there so we walked up and down the channel trying to figure out where to go. There was a family waiting on the dad to join them and he couldn't find the boat and the driver was going to leave him behind. If it weren't for the rest of us telling him to wait he would have left the Dad behind. It made the experience stressful and much less enjoyable. I am sure he will respond that he sends an email with instructions but he was not there when we first arrived like I said earlier so we thought we were in the wrong place. Also, after the boat driver threatening to leave and saying that we would not get extended time for leaving 10 minutes late he brought us back 10 minutes early for a cruise that should have been an hour and a half.

We send directions with your confirmation and text them the morning of the departure. And you have our phone number for us to guide you. Tour times are approximate as currents, tides and boat traffic effects time. But all the route of the tour is covered + or minus 10 min.
