My wife and I went parasailing for the first time on Friday. I don't remember the name of the other 'captain' but one was Andrew. Both guys seemed happy to be working and were very friendly. They also got some great pictures of us. Obviously people are going to complain. We, however, had no complaints about Hawaiian Parasail. If you want a longer ride, maybe try paying for the extra fuel it costs to pull you around. If you want to go slow and move around, try a dinner cruise or whale watch. A speed boat is no place to be up and moving around a lot. If you can't find the place, the shuttle will pick you up and if you haven't figured it out yet, Honolulu is NOT an easy place to get around (traffic, angled streets, one ways, etc.) Overall, the experience may just be what you make of it. If you go into it nit picking everything someone does or doesn't do, it will be bad. Enjoy it for what it is. PARASAILING!

We had used this company many years previous to this triip and enjoyed the experience. However things change. We were picked up by a very nice driver. He was friendly and pleasant and we proceeded to pick up some other people. Last time we had used them we had about 4 people on the boat, 2 and 2 for parasailing. On arrival at the pier, we found we were about 10 people going out on the boat. It was crowded with no room to move at all. The captain was less than friendly with another crew member who at least made up for it a bit. We sped out to the water with great speed causing everyone to get soaked from the start. Finally, arriving at the point of parasail space, we were told we would be playing musical chairs. As each group went up to parasail, each of us would have to move around in a circle. This chain went on for the whole time until everyone had completed their turn. Where they used to take photos for you with your camera, they now offer to take photos with their camera and you buy the memory card for $30. However there is no guarantee it will work with your camera or your computer. When you ask they tell you it will "probably" work. At first I was going to purchase it but they did not take american express, which was the only card I had with me at the time. I hesitated to pay cash in case the memory card did not work, I would have no recourse. As a result, while we in the van being taken back to our hotel, we heard the woman who worked there on the radio making disrespectful remarks about both the "japanese people who changed their mind" and the "jewish woman with the little girl who wanted to use a credit card so she could get a refund." This behavior was not appreciated and I would never use this company again. Good luck to you if you do.
