2.5-Hour Denali Wilderness ATV Adventure Tour

Overview
Get ready for an adventure in the Alaskan wilderness with an ATV tour from Denali. On an automatic single or double ATV, you'll ride along trails surrounded by Denali National Park at speeds up to 30 mph (48 kph), and make stops to enjoy 360-degree views of the Alaska Range, Otto Lake, and the Healy Valley. Traverse rocky creek beds and splash through the water (weather permitting) as a guide leads you through the rugged terrain and provides opportunities for photography. Wildlife is abundant, so watch for moose on the trail. When booking, select from several departure times and decide whether you want a single or 2-passenger side-by-side ATV.

During our sister's trip to Denali we decided to do the ATV Adventure tour. It was late August/early September, so it was cool outside and had been raining all day. We love being outdoors, but didn't have enough time to do a hiking trip or similar. The booking process was easy, and we were able to get a two-seater ATV (I drove). The entire trip was very fun, starting with our short bus ride out to the ATV site. We were informed on how to stay safe, use the ATVs, helmet fittings, and a test drive through a sample road to make sure we felt secure driving the ATV. We toured three different sites, with plenty of time to stop and take pictures as needed. We had three guides with us, an approximate party of 12 ATVs. All the guides took turns telling us about where we were going, stopping and general items of interest. All three were very friendly, informative, and just seemed to get along with each other and all the guests. We all felt safe, especially considering a young child of about 5-6 was on the tour. They were able to supply a booster seat and she seemed to have a great time. Overall, I would highly recommend ATV adventures as an activity while in Denali. It is definitely suitable for young children and those young at heart.

My husband and I have gone on ATV tours in Hawaii and Mexico and he said this was the best one! It was raining the day of our tour but we stayed with our single rider quads and I am glad we did. I would have been bummed if I had to be a passenger with all the action we got. The tour guides were great about altering the speed to our ability. We did a couple of scenic stops and learned a little about things in the area. We had time to take pictures but the most fun was riding down the rivers! The water was deep enough to need to bring your feet up on the fenders, it was a blast. I wish we would have had a Go Pro to video going through the water. Wear shoes and clothes you don't mind getting muddy and bring your own gloves. We would do it again and recommend anyone in the area give it a try!

Just did this 2 days ago and still stoked and telling everyone about it. Tyler led our group of 6 riding single ATVs on this tour and he was fun, and engaging, and smart and we are so glad we did this. The views were beautiful, the ATVs felt brand new and awesome and the experience was incredible! The guides were a great mix of "Safe" and having us not get hurt on the machines, while being "fun" and going out and riding and enjoying the ATVs. I think this is really important to understand the balance and be safe while having fun. I loved getting wet in the rivers and mud, and blazing up and down the trails. Highly recommend!
