Overview

Get ready for an adventure in the Alaskan wilderness with an ATV tour from Denali. On an automatic single or double ATV, you'll ride along trails surrounded by Denali National Park at speeds up to 30 mph (48 kph), and make stops to enjoy 360-degree views of the Alaska Range, Otto Lake, and the Healy Valley. Traverse rocky creek beds and splash through the water (weather permitting) as a guide leads you through the rugged terrain and provides opportunities for photography. Wildlife is abundant, so watch for moose on the trail. When booking, select from several departure times and decide whether you want a single or 2-passenger side-by-side ATV.

Our family of five thoroughly enjoyed our midnight sun tour in late July. The midnight ride through the back country trails was surreal with the sun still low on the horizon. It hadn’t rained near Denali for over a week so the back country trails were a dust storm. It was an adrenaline pumping ride to keep an eye on the tail light of the ATV in front of you with no other way to navigate the trails. This was a trust building exercise with your guide and team members. At one of our stops in a dry river bed we got to pick up jade and bask in the alpenglow. Each of the brief stops was a breathtaking photo opportunity. Our oldest son/18 and I rode the single rider Kodiak and my wife, daughter/15, and son/12 rode in the three man Viking. The tour begins with a stern safety lecture (rightly so!) and a short test drive course (maybe fifty feet) to get acquainted with ATV. (Note: for coastal dwellers like us, the Kodiak ATV drives nothing like a jet ski.) Expect to get filthy with dust or mud so plan accordingly! Great guides and great adventure.

We had a great time on our ATV tour last week. The guides (Doug and Matthew) were great. They were friendly, provided tips about the ATVs, and overall made it a really enjoyable trip.

Amazing tour with our guides Doug, Wes, and Tyler! The bus drivers to and from the atv’s were great and very entertaining. We were also helped by Matthew at the ticket office and he answered all our questions. Definitely recommend!! August 2018
