Get a nice photo of the historic Queen Mary as we pass by on our way out of the harbor!

From the harbor we are afforded and amazing view of the Long Beach waterfront, skyline and the famous whale mural by Wyland!

Korean Bell of Friendship

From the ocean below, a keen observer can see the great bell on the cliffs above!

If you look past the cost you are in for a treat. I know the cost is double of what the other major operators charge, but there is a reason for that. 6 people compared to maybe 50. Nimble boat which can be manoeuvred within a second to rush to where the whale/dolphin came to the surface. You decide. Steve was a nice chap, had a chat with him while waiting for a couple to arrive. He took us out into the ocean and we saw some dolphins on the way out and in the ocean too. Then we got to see some fin whales quite close and we followed the whales. As he had a small boat he could dart to a place to give us a better view which was awesome. While returning he stopped us near some sea lions, harbour seals and some bottlenose dolphins too. I would assure it would be a nice trip and you would be in good hands.

We went out with SoCal Watching with Steve on 11/6/22. We had a great experience, saw seals, hundreds of dolphins, many right next to our boat and to top it all of, we saw 5 Fin whales!!! We liked the intimate experience of being on a boat that only holds six people. I highly recommend!

The boat was small, 6 passengers and the captain/guide. We saw dolphins and tons of birds. We saw 2 fin whales. It was very cold on the water and since the boat was open, the wind bit through our jackets and we were chilled to the bone. I could not wait to get back to the dock so I could get warm again. Our captain/guide has done this tour a lot because he seemed bored.
