My parents and I had a great tour with our guide, Amory. He knew a lot about Monument Valley including where all the good photo locations were. It was a fantastic experience that I would definitely recommend.

We had the wonderful 2.5 hour tour of Monument Valley and it was superb. Our guide, Steven, did a good job of describing the area but also shared several insights into Navajo culture and language. The vehicle had a speaker from the cab so Steven narrated as we went and was available for questions when we stopped. At the stops we never felt pressured to return quickly and there was lots of time for photos and wandering. The flute playing at one of our stops was a nice touch. Highly recommend this to anyone wishing to get a full and thorough experience.

We booked last-minute for the 2.5 hour 1 PM tour--in the heat of the day--and we were the only people with Derrick, our guide. Even though we were 20 min. late (in hordes of cars following the end of a 4th of July parade down Main Street in Kayenta), Derrick gave us the full allotted time. He was very personable and knowledgeable, and included the traditional flute and vocal songs under the arch. We really enjoyed seeing things that those taking the 13 mile self-drive unpaved road couldn't access.(There were a few petroglyphs.) It's definitely worth taking this tour for the commentary alone.
