Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

Mitten View, Mitchell Mesa, Merrick Butte, Elephant/Camel Buttes, John Fords Point, Three Sisters, and Rain God. Backcountry: Chiefs Head, Big Hogan, Totem Pole View, Suns Eye, Ear of the Wind, and hogan demonstration.

We took the first morning tour. It had rained the night before so our guide wisely chose to begin our tour at ghe last dtops and work our way forward, giving the clouds time to lift. That worked well and we saw everything with the addition of some spectacular cloud formations. Our guide told us much about the Navajo culture and history of the valley along the way and we had several opportunities to get out of the jeep and explore. The 'backcountry' part is true and the ride is a little rough but well worth it. I highly recommend this tour!
