What To Expect

Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

Mitten View, Mitchell Mesa, Merrick Butte, Elephant/Camel Buttes, John Fords Point, Three Sisters, and Rain God. Backcountry: Chiefs Head, Big Hogan, Totem Pole View, Suns Eye, Ear of the Wind, and hogan demonstration.

Komasheena was our guide and she was so kind, informative, thoughtful and funny! Our group of 6 toured in an enclosed Suburban which was good since the roads are dusty and it was a bit chilly in early November. Getting out to stop at the interesting sites made all the difference especially with our guide's insights, singing and photo assistance.

Our guide Harry provided informative, witty and knowledgeable information while taking our private group of four into areas of Monument Valley otherwise unavailable to self drivers. We particularly enjoyed stopping at regular intervals to get out and walk around great sites and snap photos.

It was so much fun. We had the best tour guide, John. Not only was he exceptionally knowledgeable, he had a fantastic sense of humor. He made the tour so much fun. John went out of his way to make sure that everyone had their phones in the correct settings, and he watched for unique photo opportunities for us. I posted the pics that he helped us with. He stopped on the side of the road because he spotted a puddle that gave a beautiful reflection of the landscape. We learned a lot about the Navajo culture.
