What To Expect

Charleston City Hall

The tour will begin in front of City Hall which is one of the pillars of the "Four Corners of Law" which also includes the Courthouse, the Post Office and St Michaels Church at the intersection of Meeting Street and Broad Street. From here you will explore many notable sites in the French Quarter and the residential area "South of Broad".

Rainbow Row

Learn the history behind the famous Rainbow Row, one of the most photographed sites in Charleston. Rainbow Row is located in the "South of Broad" neighborhood which we will explore and includes many historically significant homes including the antebellum mansions located along the famous "Battery". ***Please note that stops along the tour may vary.***

Battery & White Point Gardens

Explore the residential area "South of Broad" including the Battery with views over the water to Fort Sumter.

Very knowledgeable guide. It was 95 degrees so we did not go down to the Battery which was fine. Dennis was conscious of the heat so we stopped to talk in the shade as much as possible. Lots of good recommendations for museums and dining.

Interesting, informative and very entertaining. Our tour guide, Dennis Mardis was exceptional. One of the best tour guides we have had anywhere we have traveled in the US or globally. If you are fortunate enough to have Dennis as your guide, you are in for a treat. He has encyclopedic knowledge of Charleston and shared his knowledge in a very entertaining, interactive manner. Kudos to this tour company generally and Dennis specifically.

Amy was awesome!! I love a history storyteller and she had so many great stories to bring history to life. I was fascinated with the old walled city of Charleston. That part stuck out to me.
