What To Expect

Charleston City Hall

The tour will begin in front of City Hall which is one of the pillars of the "Four Corners of Law" which also includes the Courthouse, the Post Office and St Michaels Church at the intersection of Meeting Street and Broad Street. From here you will explore many notable sites in the French Quarter and the residential area "South of Broad".

Rainbow Row

Learn the history behind the famous Rainbow Row, one of the most photographed sites in Charleston. Rainbow Row is located in the "South of Broad" neighborhood which we will explore and includes many historically significant homes including the antebellum mansions located along the famous "Battery". ***Please note that stops along the tour may vary.***

Battery & White Point Gardens

Explore the residential area "South of Broad" including the Battery with views over the water to Fort Sumter.

The tour was mediocre. Our guide was somewhat knowledgeable but not as interesting as one would want a guide to be. She did a good job with keeping us in the shade while it was hot outside.

An absolute must do!!! Amy was the best. This is the way to get a detailed history of charleston if you are short on time.

Dennis was a great, interactive, caring guide. You could tell he loved his job and this lovely city. It was quite hot, even though this was the morning walk; he watched for shaded places to stop for our talks, which was of great help. We have been to Charleston before, but had never done a walking tour. We learned things we had never heard . Thanks, Dennis!
