What To Expect
1
West And East Mitten Buttes
We’ll begin our journey with a scenic ride to The Mittens, also known as the West and East Mitten Buttes. Enjoy stunning views and learn about the geological significance of these iconic landmarks. When viewed from the south, the buttes appear to be two gigantic mittens with their thumbs facing inwards.
2
Sentinel Mesa
It’s often referred to as the “watchtower” of the valley due to its towering presence and strategic location. Standing at 6,200 feet, it has been a natural landmark for centuries, guiding both the Navajo people and early explorers. During horseback tours, riders can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding desert, and the mesa’s distinct shape often evokes the image of a lone sentinel keeping watch over the land. It’s a popular stop for photography, offering stunning vistas of the iconic red rock formations.

Let me explain the mediocre. In fact, be very careful. I had indicated that I was a beginner but the guide made the horses gallop at the end without warning. So mine took off without being able to stop it and of course fell. Not crowded but hat Fortunately nothing serious but 2 huge bruises. Otherwise fabulous landscapes

The landscape was splendid, a great Cowboy (Dion) explained everything to us well about the different monuments. Thank you to them for letting us discover this magical place full of history in more detail.

We took a 2-hour walk with TOP guides! We took regular breaks to take photos and enjoy the scenery. The guides gave us a bit of freedom for riders with a little experience and who were comfortable.
