Overview

The Bender family continues a 50 year tradition of traveling in open air style safari vehicles north of Corolla along the ocean and sand dunes on a 2 hour, small group, excursion sharing history and ecology along the way. We stop for several photo opportunities and points of interests along the way, as well including private access to the Wild Horse Conservation Area. This tour also included a professional and knowledgeable horse guide to educate you on what you are seeing. Choose from one of 3 departure times when you book.

For now, we will allow maximum capacity ONLY for one family or group per household if staying together in the same rental house. Otherwise, the maximum will be TWELVE (12) people.

If you have more than 12 people please call us directly for accommodations.

We will NOT be able to allow any children UNDER 40 POUNDS on the tour.

Absolutely amazing!!! Craig was a knowledgeable and entertaining tour guide, he knew how to find the horses and when we came across one herd, knew we'd see 2 stallions fighting!!!

Trip on 9/8 in the afternoon was A-GREAT-ADVENTURE!!! Thanks. It began with check-in at the hut. The host was awesomely helpful and played cool music selection. Tour guide Paul was personable, funny and took good care of passengers...even retrieving someone's hat that flew off as we rode through the beach. I had the perfect seat and enjoyed all great views. Horses were out and doing their thing and we got great pictures. We received top education on the history of the horses, their populations, health care, and interesting facts from tour guide Paul. ...Had to make time to submit a review. The 2-hr Outer Banks Wild Horse Tour with Corolla Outback Adventures delivered a great adventure I won't soon forget. Thanks!!!

Such a fun adventure! Riding on the beach in the back of a 4W drive truck was so fun! We saw 22 wild horses during our adventure! This is MUST DO for anyone staying in the Outer Banks! You won’t regret it!!!!
