2-hour Outer Banks Wild Horse Tour by 4WD

Overview

The Bender family continues a 50 year tradition of traveling in open air style safari vehicles north of Corolla along the ocean and sand dunes on a 2 hour, small group, excursion sharing history and ecology along the way. We stop for several photo opportunities and points of interests along the way, as well including private access to the Wild Horse Conservation Area. This tour also included a professional and knowledgeable horse guide to educate you on what you are seeing. Choose from one of 3 departure times when you book.

For now, we will allow maximum capacity ONLY for one family or group per household if staying together in the same rental house. Otherwise, the maximum will be TWELVE (12) people.

If you have more than 12 people please call us directly for accommodations.

We will NOT be able to allow any children UNDER 40 POUNDS on the tour.

Our horse tour was fantastic! Our driver, Paul, had grown up in the area and told us so many stories about the area. We started the tour not finding many horses but be kept driving us around until we found more. He even took the time to stop on the beach and get some fulgarite for my kids to take back to their teacher at school. We had a great time!

This was our first time taking our family on the wild horse tour after visiting the Outer Banks for several decades -- and it was great! Edna, our tour guide, was awesome -- she was friendly, informative and as a longtime resident in the area, she knew her stuff!!! We liked it so much we went back a second time the same week with our great friends from Asheville. Great for couples, larger families, and groups of friends. The brand new truck was very comfortable and seated about 10 folks. Don't make a rookie mistake: Bring layers to keep warm as the truck travels 20+ MPH on the beach portion of the trip. We will be back with more family and friends. Thank you Edna!

Had a great tour. Even though the seating area looked tight relative to the number of people, we had a nice amt of room and did not feel squished. Edna was great!
