2-hour Outer Banks Wild Horse Tour by 4WD

Overview

The Bender family continues a 50 year tradition of traveling in open air style safari vehicles north of Corolla along the ocean and sand dunes on a 2 hour, small group, excursion sharing history and ecology along the way. We stop for several photo opportunities and points of interests along the way, as well including private access to the Wild Horse Conservation Area. This tour also included a professional and knowledgeable horse guide to educate you on what you are seeing. Choose from one of 3 departure times when you book.

For now, we will allow maximum capacity ONLY for one family or group per household if staying together in the same rental house. Otherwise, the maximum will be TWELVE (12) people.

If you have more than 12 people please call us directly for accommodations.

We will NOT be able to allow any children UNDER 40 POUNDS on the tour.

Our tour with Edna was very interesting. She was informative and a great driver. While we were able to see some beautiful horses on a cold day, I was equally fascinated by the change in landscape as we crossed dunes, went into 4x4 areas, saw the various neighborhoods and canals and forests we would nit have seen any other way. Highly recommend!

Edna was our tour guide! She did a great job!! Stopped and told us lots of history and tid bits about the horses and the beach! It was freezing cold... about 34 degrees! But so worth the trip! Saw about 18 horses!! Edna did her best to find us horses!!!!;Going to do it again in the summer when the horses are more on the beach!

What a great tour! Edna was knowledgeable, kind and sincere. It's clear that she loves what she does and she made it a delight for everyone. And the horses were amazing! So fun to see them in their own natural habitat, roaming and playing with each other. Such a memorable trip. Definitely worth every penny.
