2-hour Outer Banks Wild Horse Tour by 4WD

Overview

The Bender family continues a 50 year tradition of traveling in open air style safari vehicles north of Corolla along the ocean and sand dunes on a 2 hour, small group, excursion sharing history and ecology along the way. We stop for several photo opportunities and points of interests along the way, as well including private access to the Wild Horse Conservation Area. This tour also included a professional and knowledgeable horse guide to educate you on what you are seeing. Choose from one of 3 departure times when you book.

For now, we will allow maximum capacity ONLY for one family or group per household if staying together in the same rental house. Otherwise, the maximum will be TWELVE (12) people.

If you have more than 12 people please call us directly for accommodations.

We will NOT be able to allow any children UNDER 40 POUNDS on the tour.

The ride up the beach and back to look for wild horses was the first and best thing we did at the Outer Banks this fall. Fortunately only 8 people were on our tour, so there was room for social distancing. Edna was our guide and she was great, stopped frequently and told us facts about the horses and the area, answered all our questions. Wear a light jacket; it does get chilly when the truck is moving (and it was an 80 degree day). Be prepared for lots of bumps -- it's so much fun.

Terrific ride on the beach to see the wild horses in Corolla/Cordova. Didn't see any at first but our fantastic tour guide Edna was going to search them out and make sure we had a great adventure. Also saw a coyote on the beach. Edna informed us about a lot of area history and she made it a fantastic educational experience.
